Ahh, what a life!

So pitifully broke. No milk for the coffee, no bread for the butter. Overdrawing the ol' credit card to pay my overdue car rego. Oh yes, this is truely living. Poorly, that is.

I've already asked my dear, dear grandmother for money. I've asked my awesome better half and I've asked the bank. Unfortunately for me, that's about all the asking I can stomach right now :)

I've been a skabber since way back. Since primary school I was always asking my mates - bless them - for some money. I even asked my parents friends - infront of my parents! (Once).

Yes, I've pretty much had it with skabbing, and so I can't ask any more. I need to sit, and wait, for my car parking/bus-ticket money to arrive - however it comes.

It might come in the snail mail - it might come in the email, it might come into my bank account, it might come raining out of the sky. I don't really mind how it comes. Just that hopefully, soon, it does arrive.

I had a dream last night, and it wern't pretty. It pretty much summed up what I've been doing to myself for the last month or more.
In the dream a good friend of mine - whom I greatly respect for his work ethic - asked me for a knife to cut a piece of fruit. I dutifully handed him a knife, which turned out to be a monster with a very keen edge. A real utilitarian piece of equipment.
The dream-friend then commenced to hold the piece of fruit and intending to cut the seed out, lopped off his own fingers.
I was bewildered and angry - Didn't he even notice he was doing that?
After I woke up it took me about half an hour of having breakfast to realise the meaning of the dream - as I've interperated it, anyway.
The knife is a tool. It represents my computer, my phone, and really the digital world - but specifically those 2 objects.
My dream-friend represents the work-ethic I seek to achieve. Cutting the fingers with the tool represents what I stand to lose when I mis-use the tool.
In short - stop wasting time playing games!! If I died while playing WoW I would just die! Jokes aside, it was a wake-up call - no pun intended.

Hi all,
well, I am taking a break from all of this, for a while. I am safely in to FTI next year. There is much to do.
One thing I would love to do before Christmas is get an online game of DragonTails up. I will let everyone know through Facebook and my networks whenever it does happen. It would be very exciting indeed! For those new to the concept, it is a game that plays well with groups of 4 or more, and excellent family or party game (though admittedly there are some slightly risque elements in the game as it stands and would not be considered suitable for all ages.

Until then, it is all about Thailand. Thanks to Wordpress we have established a blog:

I have spent a bit of time and managed to enable audio, photo, text and google map locations all from the iphone. All going to plan, we will be sending geo-tagged photos, sound bites and descriptions of some of our adventures. Most of these will be automatically updated snippets on my Facebook page as well. However, what will happen when we get to another country is anybody's guess... And we don't want to be too tied down!!

Hi! You'll find you-tube links here on the blog, and in the gallery there are a few .gif animations exploring cycles.

I've noticed you-tube have shorn a second off the end of the clips... ergo just "THE" and no "END".

My flash animations are not up yet - mainly because they are frustrating the bejeezus out of me!

Well, I am gunning now for FTI - the Film and Television Institute - Fremantle, from the March course 2010. This site will be a folio for the lecturers to peruse at their leisure.

Why animation? A simple reason weighed in heavily on the why factor. It is this.

Animators, by nature of the trade, have to do ALOT of drawing.

And that, to me, sounds like heaven-on-a-stick.

If you have been here before (hi, Sari ;), you'll notice a stripped back dashboard. We have here, on the home page, a blog. Further in we have a Gallery page, and a nestled beneath that there is a Random gallery page. Finally, there is the contact page - named Buzz.

Please be aware this is a graphically intense site, and requires high-speed internet, ActiveX controls to be Allowed and cookies and caches to be turned on also. In time, this shooould change, and a low bandwidth option should become available.

Some familiar things may be lost in the short term, as I try to modify things to bring a new level of functionality. This includes pictures!!

One exciting change to keep tuned for is a game update. More on this later.
